President's MessagePresident

Matthew Ruggiero, PhD

It has been my pleasure and honor to serve as president of this dynamic organization since its founding in 2003. During that time we have seen tremendous growth and progress. We have established cash merit awards for talented students, started training workshops for our youth orchestras, created performance opportunities for young musicians, and instituted an event that has become an annual occurrence---our Double Reed Day at Boston University.
Yes, there is much we have done but still much more we can do. With your help and support we will be able to light an even brighter candle to illuminate the path for deserving woodwind students wishing to find their way into the world of professional artists.
When you make a donation to the Boston Woodwind Society you are helping to provide a variety of essential educational resources to students of woodwind instruments; to create opportunities for them to perform; to recognize and reward their achievements with cash merit awards; and to sponsor performances of leading woodwind artists who can serve as inspirational figures for talented, dedicated students who dream of entering the ranks of professional players.

To make a donation online, visit our DONATE page. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Thank you.
